All of our services at OhioMeansJobs are provided at no cost. Let’s take a minute to learn more about the services available to you.

Job seeker services are self-directed and you can use as many or as few of our services as you like. These services include OhioMeansJobs.com, the State of Ohio job search website; workshops on a variety of job search topics; assistance with resumes; job list books; fax, phone and copiers to use for your job search; career research library; and last but not least, our friendly and helpful staff.

We thank our veteran customers for their service and give them priority service in our OhioMeansJobs centers. There is a workstation set aside specifically for the use of our veteran customers. In addition, we have a veteran representative on site who can assist veterans with barriers to employment.

Here at OhioMeansJobs, you can use the internet to learn about open jobs and training opportunities. One of the most powerful tools for job search is the State of Ohio’s job search website, OhioMeansJobs.com. OhioMeansJobs is an easy to use website that allows you to put in the type of job you are looking for and it goes out to other job search websites, bringing those jobs back for you to review. You can also register with OhioMeansJobs - upload your resume, save job searches and have the system automatically email you new job postings.

OhioMeansJobs is simple and easy to use. Its internet based, so you can access your information from any computer that has internet access. Employers are able to search uploaded resumes and may contact you based on your experience.

Not everyone is comfortable with computers, but it’s a skill you should probably have. Let our staff show you how easy doing an online job search can be. If you are still uncomfortable, you can attend one of our Computer Basics workshops to improve your skills.

Another bright way to sharpen your job search skills is to attend one of our workshops. Each day we offer workshops on different topics, including: Resume Ingredients, Computer Basics, Discover Your New Job, Ace the Interview, Internet Job Search Made Easy, and more! You can also find out about scholarships and financial aid for training.

A resume is an important tool for you to have in your job search. You can write a resume using our easy to use resume writing software, WinWay, or you can attend a workshop to learn about how to write a resume and how to best use the software. If you already have a resume, please have a staff person review your resume.

You can use our Career Resource Library. It includes many resources to help you prepare for and find a new job or investigate a new career. It has four (4) sections: Employment; Education and Training; Career Exploration; and Community Services.

Our website [omjwork.com] provides a calendar of upcoming events at Stark and Tuscarawas County OhioMeansJobs Centers, helpful information for job seekers, and a list of open job orders. You can click on a job title to get more information on how to apply. The job list books in the resource room also list these jobs.

After using OhioMeansJobs, don’t forget to fill out a customer survey! We need your feedback about what we are doing right and what we could be doing better. You can complete the survey from any of the computers or a paper survey is available at the front desk.

The staff at OhioMeansJobs is here to answer any additional questions you have about using our center for your job and training search. Remember, OhioMeansJobs in Stark and Tuscarawas County give you the tools you need to get the job you want.
